Dementia Care Partnering

  • Includes environmental assessments and modifications that support safety and independence and prescribing equipment or assistive devices if needed.

  • Providing carepartner education and skills training on dementia symptoms, along with support for carepartners and loved ones on how they can adapt and manage their roles.

  • To support participation and independence for the person with dementia, the therapist can also provide tips or interventions on fatigue management, memory strategies, routine planning, and community access.

  • Offered as workshops for organizations and in the community.

  • Also available for one-on-one consultation with families.
